WOW !Talk about an emotional read....... This tells us the story of Andrew, an angel. When he sees someone being attacked he doesn't think of the consequences, instead diving in and trying to help. Little does he know that by doing this he's about to change his own fate, destiny, forever.
Now, what to say about such a tragically beautiful story.......Where to start.....Andrew really was a magnificent character although his story of how he became an angel was extremely tragic. Then we have Josh, who Andrew is helping even though he knows he's not meant to be. Josh was such a brilliantly written character and i thought the author did an amazing job of portraying his emotions over the situation which brought him and Andrew together, perfectly. I actually felt myself going through every emotion he did, and completely empathized with his warring emotions too.Not once did the author lose sight of the main focus of the story; Andrew having to figure out if his feelings for Josh are worth risking everything for.
There were times in the story when i wanted Andrew to tell Josh the truth, consequences be damned. I was thrown for a loop at one point due to a perfectly timed twist that had me swearing at the author thinking a certain character was going to be hurt all over again !!!
An absolutely beautiful and angelic story which will make you question what you know about life after death and all things ethereal....

I loved this beautiful poignant story. I, of course, fell in love with both Andrew and Josh. So much anguish and burdens for Andrew to have to bear. There are so many layers to this story and the Author did an amazing job, making this a great read.
Andrew is an angel and Josh mortal. When two worlds collide choices have to be made. Andrew is faced with his past, along with choices about his future and believe me, you need to read this to see what happens. Andrew was wonderful and I fell in love with him the very start. Josh, broken hearted Josh, made my heart break along with his. This was an amazingly beautiful book. Louisa Mae, thankyou for this whole new world you have opened up to me.
Fun story but the execution was a mess. On the editing level there was a lot of clean-up errors, like typos and comma splices. My biggest gripe was regarding the author's angel mythos - she wasn't consistent. She'd present one piece of the angel's lore and then reneg a chapter later. Sometimes she'd present the angel as all powerful and next he's getting beaten like a piñata in a Tube station. Don't get me started on the "good" angels lying and bullying. Oy.
Just when I thought I'd found my fav Louisa MC's she gives me Andrew and Josh.....Andrew my lovely Angel....This was an amazing read....Beautiful and a bit heart-breaking too.....Andrew himself lost someone he loved and Josh lost his love too...but when these two are together it's beautiful.....Josh has his very own angel.....I'm not going to give anything away as to how these two can be together but it's absolutely beautiful....I'm hoping to now read more about Lucian and Sage...It's been a great few days catching up with all of Louisa Mae's books x
I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes, laughing and heartbroken at the same time. This story is so much more than a romance, with an angel torn between his duty, and the man he loves. I fell in love with Andrew right away, and watched with bated breath as Andrew navigated the turbulent, unclear path ahead of him, not knowing if he should leave Josh behind or stay and fight for their love. Will Josh and Andrew get their HEA, or will Andrew be lost to the dark forever?
I don't know why I had this sat on my for so long before I read it, shame on me.
This is the story of Andrew, an angel sent to help people through difficult times of their lives, his empathy and kindness eases and soothes the human in his charge.
When he discovers Simon, a man battling for his life after a vicious attack, he promises to take care of Simon's lover, Josh.
The attraction between the angel and the mortal is instant and mutual. Josh is angry and confused, in his grief he doesn't know whether to lash out at Andrew or hold on tight to him.
But Andrew's mission is not to help Josh and he is forced away from him, as he realises he has fallen for Josh he tries to find away to stay with him.
A painful reminder of his mortal life send him into a fury as his anger controls him and he battles with his own kind. Punishment is issued and Andrew is given two neither of which give him the happy life with the man he loves. What will Andrew have to do to stay with Josh?
Andrew's story is told beautifully that his pain feels so real and be prepared for some tears. The need for him to have his happy ending had me glued to this book, power reading to the end.
I only hope there is more to come, there are definitely other characters in this book that have a story of their own. Come on Louisa Mae, don't leave us waiting too long.
This book is so well written , it has an underlying essence of romantic, nostalgic love .
The two main characters are so well written, but Andrew is truly angelic in all his forms,
the torment of guilt and heartache he has to carry for eternity is so sad ,
Josh is a sweetheart , losing Simon had devastated him ,but at the same time his need for love
and protection was throwing him in Andrews arms,
watching their feelings for each other struggle and deepen was both hard and heartwarming.
The story from Andrew's past was developing the whole time he was falling for Josh,
causing him to struggle with his duties over his feelings,
there were so many secrets and lies that would come to life .
This story is beautifully written, with so much depth , and so many aspects to enjoy,
past and present love , good over evil , the immortal world ,grief and compassion and complex characters .
For a relatively new author , to cram so many layers into the story and keep it enjoyable throughout
is nothing short of amazing.
I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
